Not so much a blog as a progress of record. The Glorious Decade is my version of those 'things to do before...' lists that we all make. The aim is to complete this list before the 31st of December 2019.

Plenty of time...

I have split the list into ten sections:

1. Travel and Holidays
2. Nature and the Countryside
3. Adventures/ Big Days Out
4. Food and Drink
5. Life
6. Things to Make and Do
7. Literature
8. Arts and Culture
9. Britain
10. The Really Quite Difficult

If you have any suggestions or want to debate or celebrate any of my choices. If you have done some of them and want to offer help or advice. Drop me a comment or two in the comment boxes.

Here are the 100 targets for The Glorious Decade.

66. Lud's Church

Lud's church is not, in the strictest sense, a church. It is a millstone grit chasm. It has a loose religious past though being tied with both Pagans and Christians.

It has also been linked to the 'Green Chapel' of Gawain and the Green Knight which is how it has found it's way into the Literature section. It is a place of myth and imagination, all the regular suspects queue up to be associated with it, Bonny Prince Charlie, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck...

It is also in Staffordshire, the county I grew up in and should perhaps know a little better than I do. So it is off to see the Green Knight and to walk among the moss and the stone.
